About BDKM School

Baba Dev Khan Memorial School (BDKMS) is a Co-educational school that proposes to offer the elite Curriculum, well integrated with the best practice of Indian education system. This school started a month before the pandemic hit us in 2020. And, just as things were looking up, the nation went into lockdown. There was no reason for this school to have survived. But it did and how! Things looked glum but Tofeek Ahmad, founder of Baba Dev Khan Public School, Haryana, thrived in the face of adversity. He changed his strategy, bounced back from the tragedy and made a positive change in enrollment and this was when the pandemic was in rage. He became a game-changer in his area, doing what no one could.

As Our school was formally launched in February 2020 and announced admission from Pre-Primary (Nursery) to Grade X for the first academy year 2020-21. With the mission to provide quality education for the needy students, the campus is

sprawling 2 Acres in Punhana Block of Mewat District of Sate Haryana. BDKMS believes that children learn in their own unique style. Young minds have infinite capacity to understand grasp and mastery various skills. Hence we ensure that during the crucial years of children development they are provided with practice based education under the guidance of experts. BDKMS aims to impart student with knowledge, discipline, confidence, excellence and a sense of responsibility.

When Corona pandemic was at its peak, it was a great challenge for him to gain the faith of educationally backward parents, but he made it by his door to door campaign. Even BABA DEV KHAN MEMORIAL SCHOOL started small with just a handful of students and the dedicated and well experienced teachers. It moved full steam ahead and grew from strength to strength, adding classrooms, floors, advanced facilities and the strength multiplied.

An Overview of Mewat District

Mewat is a historical region of Haryana and Rajasthan states in northwestern India. The district was created on 4 April 2005.Nuh district (formerly known as Mewat district) is one of the 23 districts in the Indian state of Haryana. There are four sub-divisions in this district: Nuh, Ferozepur Jhirka, Punahana, and Taoru. It has an area of 1,860 square kilometres and had a population of 1.09 million in 2011. It is bounded by Gurugram District to the north, Palwal District of Haryana to the east and Alwar District of Rajasthan to the south and west. Its boundaries also touch Bharatpur District of Rajasthan and Mathura District of Uttar Pradesh near Bichhor Village and Nai Village of Punhana Tehsil. It is predominantly populated by farmers of Meo ethnicity.

Education Ratio of Mewat

According to the census of 2011, the average literacy rate of Mewat is 54.08 percent. Male literacy rate is 69.94 and female literacy rate is 36.60. In 2011, the female literacy rate of Mewat district was lowest in Haryana state indicating the female illiteracy of district. Great variations in literacy rates at village levels in both the districts have been reported irrespective of gender. The present study emphasizes on the efficient application of literacy improving strategies specifically for females of Mewat district for the betterment of the region.
